This weekend is a long weekend in Malaysia and I'm trying to plan a trip with a friend to somewhere outside of the city for a day or two. People have mentioned Malacca and Cameron Highlands to me and I was wondering if anyone else could help me add to this list with personal recommendations.

I would be grateful of any help.
